GRAC Trial: Day Two

Day two at GRAC for Eden and I. We arrived in plenty of time and I felt pretty prepared for our runs, although still sick-to-my-stomach nervous...LOL

JWW was up first, we had a small refusal at the tunnel - it was way darker than she was used to but she went in the second time.

Another Q!

Another looooonnnngggg wait before the Novice Standard run.

 

This was my favorite run so far, she was super happy and clean. We had one little mishap at the end where we were both sprinting towards the finish jump and Eden blew right by the chute. Then she was confused where I wanted to her to go, she perched on it, went around it and then finally went through. I was thrilled overall though!

GRAC Trial: Day One

I took work off today to run Eden in a very local (within a couple of miles) agility trial put on by the Grand Rapids Agility Club. I decided to just go for it and enter her for Jumpers with Weaves (JWW) and Standard for all three days (Fri-Sun). She already has one leg towards her Novice Standard title so playing the odds, I have 3 chances to get her last two legs needed. JWW was a whim and if we don't get all three, no big deal. JWW was the first course up:

She was super hot and although I had her all riled up to go, we ended up having to sit and wait while they fixed the beam of light marking the end jump. I had to wake her up to get into the ring and she walked the first several obstacles but slowly picked up speed LOL We did Q :-)

After her JWW Q we had a looonnnggg time to wait before the Novice Standard run but it was a tad cooler so she was more excited.

Trial Shoes!

Jason bought me new training/trial shoes for Schutzhund, Agility, Flyball etc :-) They're awesome, comfortable and I can wear them with no socks and my feet (nor the shoes) don't smell! LOVE THEM!

Just for Fun

I didn't have any sort of plan or goals with Eden tonight so I just took her into the basement training room and started doodling around :-) We both had a great time. We worked on tugging (clicker trained), killing the toy (new behavior I am marking), perching on a strange, new object (kettlebell), the elevated pushboard and her very exuberant retrieve. I am pretty sure I was smiling or laughing the whole time! She's sooo cute :-)

Walking with Midas

Allison came over with Midas to walk with Eden, Kastle and I. Midas was WHOOPED after our walk :-)

 The April birthday puppers, Eden at 2 years, Midas at 7 years. Love them both dearly.

Eden's 2 Year Birthday!!

My little girl is two years old today!! I cannot believe it - she seems so mature to me, at the same time she's so young! LOL I <3 her!

She's got the sweetest, cutest smile ever!

Laid-Back Flyball

Tonight Eden was being really silly, we had a ton of dogs to get through and several videos so Eden did not have a serious practice at all :-) I think she had a good time though. She started out by racing into the building and hopping up onto the agility table with Nikon - adorable! One of the visitors brought her young daughter, who wanted to try running a dog "for real" so I volunteered Eden. Eden loves children and did wonderfully! :-D For the last runs we tried to set her up to chase Poppy down the lane to see if we could get more speed from her (Poppy is much more drive-y than Eden and fast!), nope, same exact speed. Not a whole lot phases my Eden-Pie! LOL
