Next Trick Dog Title

We are working on Eden's next trick dog title (intermediate). We are about half-way there already but I need to clean up roll over, finish (around my back), and figure 8 between my legs. She did wonderful and is really bouncy, having a great time!

Snow Play!

I brought my pack to meet Lies at the park with Pan and they had a ball. The little Cardi girls were chasing the two GSD boys.

Eden is a Canine Good Citizen!!!

Tonight, Eden passed her Canine Good Citizen test (barely - she was over-interested in passing me to look at the friendly dog...). I am so pleased! :-D
I sent in the paperwork, waiting for the official cert, in the meantime...
ETA: Official certificate!

Meet Finn!

Jason got a new working-line Border Collie puppy that we named Huckleberry Finn, Finn for short. We always introduce all newcomers to Eden because she is the most kind and level-headed - and she has a real knack for opening dogs up, even brand new puppies :-) She's a doll!

Flyball Goals

After the tournament and watching this video of Eden jumping more than double the height she needs to for clearance of the flyball jumps...
...I decided to work restrained ping-pong style recalls back and forth over the jumps to condition her to jump faster which will result in flatter jumps. It worked wonderfully. She only jumps that high when she's in the wrong mindset mostly. I have also found that using a harness on her makes her want to go faster (flatter) so I need to remember to keep that on her. Her start line is really starting to look great too - I can launch her now (she used to squeal if I grabbed in front of her back legs at ALL).

Flyball Tournament

This weekend was Poppys's first introduction to a flyball tournament. Flyball is the most intense, loudest, yelling-ist, high-energy environment I've ever been to. It's a place that shy dogs cower and intense dogs go into overdrive. None of this fazes Eden.

Eden ran singles alongside Dottie (so that Dottie would not cross lanes and go after another dog).
She also ran on our Standard team as an alternate. She can only run when we're already winning or else we will lose LOL. She is by far the slowest dog on the team. However, everyone adores her and I got loads of compliments on how lovely she is and how cute :-D
She earned her first 45ish points :-D Her times:

She was pretty whooped!

Park x5

We have Dottie this weekend for a flyball tournament, which brings our total dog count to 5: Dottie, Ike, Eden, Poppy, Kastle. We brought everyone to the park for some run and fun time before the long-ish drive to the tournament.

Video of 5 dogs playing.

What happens when a scuffle breaks out and Mom has to use her Mad Voice:
Lots of exercise!

 Attempts at posed photos...all fails.
My two sweeties.
Eden has a fascination with having her butt face the camera in the classic Corgi sprawl. Here, Poppy is hurdling Eden...who is facing the wrong way.
She is just the silliest little girl!
